Direct Dialogue between Students and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting Leadership: Listening, Engaging, and Improving

Listening to students goes beyond simply acknowledging their opinions; more importantly, it enables the Faculty to better understand their needs, promptly address challenges, and continuously enhance the quality of education. With this commitment, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized a direct dialogue between students and the Faculty leadership, providing an open, constructive, and responsible platform for communication and exchange.

The dialogue was held at 1:00 p.m. on October 5, 2026, in Room B203, Campus 1, Lac Hong University, with the participation of the Faculty leadership, lecturers, staff members, and student representatives from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts. Student participants included class representatives, Youth Union and Student Association representatives, and other representatives from individual classes, thereby facilitating the effective communication of students’ opinions, concerns, and expectations to the Faculty leadership.

Prior to the event, academic advisors organized class meetings to collect students’ feedback, which was subsequently consolidated and submitted to the Faculty leadership. This approach ensured that the dialogue addressed not only issues raised directly during the session but also a broader range of concerns encountered by students throughout their academic and personal development.

During the dialogue, students were provided with opportunities to exchange views and contribute feedback on various aspects of their university experience, including the curriculum, facilities, student support services, and issues arising during their studies and personal development. The session also enabled the Faculty to gain a deeper understanding of students’ concerns and challenges, thereby providing a practical basis for identifying appropriate measures to further enhance the quality of academic management, teaching, and learning.

Beyond serving as a channel for collecting student feedback, the direct dialogue also strengthened engagement among the Faculty leadership, lecturers, and students. By encouraging students to actively express their views and contribute constructive feedback, the Faculty recognizes students as important stakeholders in the continuous quality improvement process. At the same time, direct communication enables all parties to develop a clearer understanding of practical concerns, expectations, and shared responsibilities in the teaching and learning process.

The feedback collected during the dialogue provides valuable information for the Faculty to further review and improve its academic and student support activities. In accordance with the established plan, students’ comments and recommendations are consolidated, while the outcomes of the dialogue are reported to the University Board of Management through the Department of Student Affairs.

Through regular dialogue activities, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting continues to reinforce its commitment to a student-centered approach, continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback, and sustained support for students throughout their academic journey. Each contribution not only helps address immediate concerns but also provides valuable input for the Faculty to progressively enhance the learning environment and improve the overall student experience at Lac Hong University.
