LHU celebrates its new academic year at “miniature Ha Long Bay”

On the evening of October 30, 2025, at Buu Long Tourist Area (Dong Nai), LHU solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year, attracting over 5,000 students and marking the beginning of a new journey filled with aspirations and goals toward international integration.

As one of LHU’s most significant annual events, the Opening Ceremony embodies the spirit of unity, dynamism, and creativity that defines the LHU community. It also marks an important milestone for freshmen as they officially embark on their academic and personal development journey within a modern educational environment that bridges knowledge, practice, and enterprise.

The event was honored to welcome Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang – Provincial Party Member, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee; Mr. Vu Xuan Truong – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Representing LHU were  Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; members of the Rectorate Board, leaders of units, lecturers, staff members and alumni. There was also the attendance of representatives from the Dong Nai Youth Union, leaders of local businesses, and Board members from various universities, colleges, and high schools in the region. Their presence demonstrated the strong attention and support of the local government toward education, serving as a great source of encouragement for both lecturers and students.

At the event, LHU announced a scholarship fund worth over VND 9 billion for freshmen in 2025, including 9 valedictorians scholarships and 24 talent scholarships, each covering 100% of the first semester’s tuition, along with additional awards for students excelling in provincial academic and science competitions. This initiative reaffirms LHU’s commitment to supporting and nurturing high-quality human resources for the future.

Following the resounding success of “The Beauty of LHU Students” in 2022 and 2024, LHU officially launched Season 3 for the 2025–2026 academic year, continuing its mission to honor the intelligence, talent, and confidence of LHU students.

Immediately following the Opening Ceremony, thousands of students immersed themselves in a bustling party of music and lights through impressive performances by famous artists, including Singer Phuong My Chi, Rapper Double2T, VietNam Kun, MC Rall, DJ Zan, and DJ Tina, ... as well as spectacular performances from talented LHUers. The event was filled with excitement and endless cheers from the audience.
