FAIE Students Graduate Ahead of Schedule. Why Not?

Have you ever wondered whether a student can graduate ahead of schedule? Or how a startup competition can open up a pathway to early graduation and provide practical work experience while still studying at university? At Lac Hong University, The Faculty of Administration International Economics (FAIE) has created that special opportunity for its students. The project team “Roasted Dried Rambutan,” led by student Pham Thi Vo Hong Dieu, is a typical example of turning ideas into reality and leveraging the University’s breakthrough policy.

Upon receiving information about the 6th “Students with Startup Ideas” Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Hong Dieu quickly realized that this was not only a creative playground but also an opportunity to be granted early graduation. This motivated her to carefully explore the benefits of the competition and form a team with Vo Thi Hong Cuc, Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Tran Thi Thanh Tuyen, and Pham Minh Tan to participate.

With the support and guidance of PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Head of The Faculty of Administration International Economics (FAIE) – the team went through each stage of researching and developing the “Roasted Dried Rambutan” product. From generating ideas and building a business plan to product testing, the team consistently received dedicated guidance and timely direction from him. PhD Nguyen Van Tan not only served as an advisor but also as a source of inspiration, helping the team maintain motivation and overcome initial challenges.

PhD Nguyen Van Tan always accompanied the student team from the idea formation stage to market access…

However, this mentorship did not stop at theoretical guidance. Through participating in the competition, team members gained early exposure to real-world practice, experiencing tasks that many other students may not yet have encountered. From cost management, product pricing, and production planning to market research, all these skills were accumulated during the preparation and competition process. They were no longer merely students with textbook knowledge but became true practitioners in a startup environment.

…and success came to both lecturer and students after months of relentless effort.

The benefits achieved by the team went beyond knowledge and awards. Practical working experience, project management capability, and a deep understanding of the market have become invaluable assets, enabling them to feel more confident when entering the professional workplace. Remarkably, they were able to gain these experiences while still at university, creating a significant advantage compared to their peers.

Lac Hong University consistently encourages and creates favorable conditions for students to participate in startup competitions, opening opportunities for young people to explore their own potential. You, too, can become one of the next students granted early graduation, gaining early access to real-world practice, accumulating experience, and building a strong foundation for your future.

So, would you like to seize this opportunity to both graduate early and gain practical experience? Let Lac Hong University and The Faculty of Administration International Economics (FAIE) help you turn your ideas into reality and open the pathway to the future you desire. The opportunity awaits those who dare to think and dare to act, just as Hong Dieu and the “Roasted Dried Rambutan” project team have done.
