    Practical Training at ICD Tan Cang Song Than – Gemadept Logistics.

    With the objective of linking teaching with real-world practice, the program “Practical Training at ICD TAN CANG SONG THAN” provides Foreign Trade students with the opportunity to access and observe in practice commercial activities, freight forwarding, goods distribution, and more at modern distribution centers in the Southeast region.

    At 7:30 a.m. on 7 May 2022, students from various cohorts who registered to participate—especially Cohort 21—together with lecturers of the Foreign Trade major, departed for ICD Tan Cang – Song Than Joint Stock Company to take part in the practical training trip.

    The training session took place at the ICD Tan Cang Song Than Distribution Center and the CJ Gemadept Logistics Song Than Distribution Center, providing students with opportunities to meet professionals with expertise and experience in the industry. The session also helped students receive authentic answers to their questions about the Company and goods operation processes. Most students expressed interest in employment opportunities at the Company.

    In addition, students had the opportunity to visit and learn at the Kimberly-Clark Distribution Center and the warehouses where ICD Tan Cang Song Than provides logistics services.

    At 11:30 a.m., the group returned to the University, concluding the practical training trip, which provided students with valuable practical knowledge. The trip enabled students to gain close exposure to the work that Foreign Trade students will certainly undertake in the future. It is hoped that the University will organize more practical training sessions like this so that students can better understand the overall picture of real-world commerce, freight forwarding, and goods distribution.
