On 15 June 2022, at the Political School – Binh Da Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, a training session on entrepreneurship was held under the theme “Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship.” More than 200 women from wards, districts, townships, and communes across Dong Nai Province participated in the training program.

PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Member of the National Innovative Startup Advisory Council (VSMA); Member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Region Startup Advisory and Support Council; Member of the Coordination and Support Council for the Innovative Startup Ecosystem of Dong Nai Province; Member of the Dong Nai Women’s Entrepreneurship Club; Head of the Innovative Startup Division of LHU; Head of FAIE, LHU; Lecturer of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC); Lecturer in entrepreneurship programs such as SIYB, CEFE, ACSE, IPP, MEP…

In recent years, thanks to the attention, support, and facilitation of authorities at all levels and mass organizations—especially the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union and Women’s Unions of districts across the province—an increasing number of women have engaged in entrepreneurship, developed their economies, overcome poverty, and achieved legitimate prosperity. Particularly in entrepreneurship education and development, the Women’s Union has proactively connected with organizations and experts in the field of entrepreneurship to support women in learning, developing, and successfully launching businesses, thereby mastering their own economic activities. Among these organizations, Lac Hong University stands out as one of the leading institutions, always ready to accompany and support the Women’s Union in teaching, mentoring, and various other activities in the field of “Entrepreneurship.”

In coordination with the Project “Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship for the 2017–2025 Period” approved by the Prime Minister, PhD Nguyen Van Tan has supported the Women’s Union as a speaker, sharing entrepreneurship-related content through training sessions, seminars, and entrepreneurship classes for women across the province, with the goal of raising awareness, inspiring entrepreneurial spirit, and unlocking women’s potential and creativity, while promoting the realization of women’s business ideas.

Through each class and training session, women were guided on how to develop business ideas, seek investors, enhance business capacity, and pursue entrepreneurship with feasible business ideas. Legal support was also provided, particularly emphasizing the importance of intellectual property in entrepreneurship and brand building. Activities were organized to share experiences, identify, and introduce women with startup projects and enterprises possessing high growth potential based on intellectual property, technology, and new business models to receive support from the Project. In addition, through the training sessions, surveys and assessments were conducted to evaluate the current situation of women’s entrepreneurship and startup ideas at the local level, thereby selecting appropriate activities and developing pilot models suitable to the conditions and characteristics of each locality.

At the training session, PhD Nguyen Van Tan focused on key and urgent issues in today’s entrepreneurship, particularly intellectual property—understanding and applying intellectual property in business and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, after the session, participants were able to disseminate and support other women in their districts and communes to better understand the Intellectual Property Law and its importance in contemporary entrepreneurship.

Participation in entrepreneurial activities has helped women become more confident, affirm themselves, and join hands with their families and local communities in economic development and poverty reduction. The training session concluded at 11:30 a.m. on the same day.
