I assume that if you have chosen university as your stepping stone toward success, your initial desire is to study at one of the top universities in the country. However, there are countless reasons that may prevent you from achieving that dream. At such times, other turns in life can also lead you to success. My journey in choosing a university was just like that.
Scholarships for New Students

I am a young man from a rural district in Binh Thuan. Currently, I am a third-year student majoring in Economic Law at FAIE, Lac Hong University. As you know, receiving a scholarship is not easy; one must meet various conditions such as academic performance, family circumstances, and the limited number of scholarships available. This increases competitiveness and reduces the likelihood of receiving a scholarship. However, Lac Hong University has a scholarship policy for new students upon enrollment, with various types corresponding to different eligibility conditions. I was fortunate to meet the criteria for the “Youth Leader” scholarship, which covers 30% of tuition fees.
In 2020, my annual tuition fee was 26 million VND, which was a very large amount for my family. Thanks to this scholarship, I decided to study here. We might think that the tuition reduction applies only once, but that is not the case. At this University, students can maintain their scholarship package each semester if they achieve Good or higher academic performance in that semester. This created motivation for me to strive for strong academic results and comply with regulations. In my first and second years, I achieved this, and each year I received a total reduction of 7.8 million VND. As a result, my tuition burden was significantly reduced. This is also the motivation for me to continue striving in my third year.
I find the policy of maintaining enrollment scholarships at Lac Hong University to be meaningful and commendable, as not every university offers such a policy, especially when tuition fees at many institutions are quite high. This has greatly supported students and created additional motivation for them to study. In addition to the enrollment scholarship policy, I am also grateful for the University’s Mabuchi loan policy with a 0% interest rate. Although this policy is only available to several dozen new students and the loan amount per time is not very large, it still helps me stabilize my study expenses.
Accommodation and Living Expenses
One of the reasons I chose to study at Lac Hong University is that the cost of living here is suitable for someone from a rural area. Prices here are not significantly higher than in my hometown. As a student living away from home, accommodation is certainly your primary concern. Do not worry! The University provides very well-equipped dormitories for students, with facilities in each room that meet daily living needs, including pillows and mattresses, study desks, air conditioning, wardrobes, drinking water, Wi-Fi, hot and cold water, and more. On the first day I received my room, I did not need to rush to buy or prepare additional items because the dormitory had already provided everything. I simply checked in and could rest after a long journey.
In conclusion, throughout my study journey so far, I am very grateful for the care and scholarship policies provided by the University and maintained each semester. They have given me additional motivation to study without having to worry excessively about high tuition fees beyond my family’s means. I hope that many other students will receive scholarships suited to them to ease their tuition burden. Thank you for what Lac Hong University has given to its students./.
