Tourism and Travel Management: What Does LHU Do to Ensure Employment for Students?.

It can be said that from the very beginning of the process of choosing a major and selecting a university, employment is always a concern and worry for every parent and student. Understanding these concerns, Lac Hong University not only continuously improves teaching quality and innovates training programs, but also consistently seeks effective solutions and approaches to ensure that parents and students feel secure when studying at the University. One of the most effective solutions at present is collaboration with leading enterprises. That is why, although Tourism and Travel Management is one of the newer majors of FAIE, among the five training programs of the Faculty, it is the leading major in signing cooperation agreements with businesses.

The cooperation between the University and enterprises does not stop at signing agreements. Although this major has only been offered since the 2019 cohort, the contents of the agreements have been implemented through various programs for current students, such as specialized seminars to help students adapt to the working environment while still studying; enterprise visits and field trips; contributions to curriculum development; support in resolving part-time employment issues; and assistance in finding internship placements aligned with students’ aspirations.

In the future, employment prospects for the first cohort are expected to achieve positive results through the Faculty’s specific actions, including: surveying enterprises’ labor demand and requirements; assessing internship performance at enterprises; inviting businesses to participate in evaluating students’ graduation reports; and finally, surveying students’ job-seeking needs. The ultimate goal of the University remains to train generations of students who meet employers’ expectations and are satisfied with their careers, rather than merely focusing on job placement.
