Opening the program, impressive musical performances by the Executive Committee of the Youth Union – Student Association of FAIE energized the first-year students.
On behalf of the University’s Board of Rectors, PhD Lam Thanh Hien delivered heartfelt and profound remarks to the students: entering university, students must set clear goals, as having goals will provide the determination to overcome difficulties and achieve the best academic results. Subsequently, PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE – introduced the organizational structure of FAIE and extended a warm welcome to first-year students joining the “common home” of LHU. He also expressed hope that students would strive to study diligently and develop their skills throughout their four years at university.
In a vibrant and friendly atmosphere, the “new members” were introduced to their academic advisors and received attractive gifts from the Faculty. It is hoped that first-year students will adapt well to the new environment, develop effective study plans, and apply essential student skills to continue painting fresh and colorful “pictures” on their youthful journey.
As part of the program series, Mr. Le Quyet Thang – Vice President of the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association and Director of Tacom Group Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. – shared meaningful messages with the University and students on behalf of the enterprises. His lesson on determination and perseverance serves as an inspiring example for students.
Enterprises played an essential role in the success of the program by sponsoring gifts, preferential policies for students, and especially scholarships that provide additional motivation for students to overcome life’s challenges.
In addition, specialized clubs play a key role in creating meaningful academic playgrounds aligned with each major. Therefore, to acknowledge the contributions of club Executive Board members, FAIE awarded certificates of commendation and officially introduced and recognized the new Executive Boards.
As widely known, innovative entrepreneurship in Vietnam has become a topic of national interest, and startup idea competitions organized at educational institutions aim to promote creativity among students in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Recently, FAIE was proud to win Second Prize at the 4th “Students with Startup Ideas” Competition 2022 organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. The Faculty also awarded certificates of commendation and gifts to the students.
Notably, the event welcoming first-year students and honoring club Executive Boards and outstanding students in the 2022–2023 academic year featured not only games such as “Lo To” organized by the Executive Committee of the Youth Union – Student Association of FAIE, but also a Marketplace where students could freely demonstrate their abilities through commercial activities. This activity enabled students to apply their learned knowledge in practice, enhance solidarity within Youth Union branches, and expand connections among classes.
It is hoped that this program will serve as the first stepping stone empowering students to confidently embark on their journey of knowledge, master professional skills, unleash creativity, and fully enjoy their university life at FAIE, Lac Hong University.
