LHU Advances to Top 12 at the 2022 National Moot Court Competition.

The Moot Court Competition is a widely recognized academic platform around the world, where law students have the opportunity to argue cases like real lawyers, defending the legitimate rights and interests of parties before an arbitration panel. Building upon the success of both domestic and international moot court competitions, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has hosted the Vietnam Moot (VMoot) National Competition for many consecutive years. After five years of organization (2017–2021), the VMoot National Competition has become one of the most prestigious academic contests for law students in Vietnam.

The LHU team anxiously awaited their turn to compete in the quarterfinal round

In 2022, Lac Hong University (LHU) sent two teams to compete, and one team proudly advanced to the Top 12 of the competition. The team consisted of third-year students majoring in Economic Law from the Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics (FAIE): Luu Thi Anh Truc, Tran Thi Thao, and Bui Sy Tan Loc.

Looking back on their journey, this achievement was the result of relentless efforts from both the lecturers and the students. The team received continuous guidance from faculty members of the Economic Law program through meetings and academic mentoring sessions, where lecturers helped clarify subject-related questions and legal issues. In particular, the team received strong encouragement from their academic advisor, MSc. Huynh Thi Nhu Hieu – Head of the Department of Business and Commercial Law, as well as professional guidance from their supervising lecturer, MSc. Vu Thi Thanh Huyen – Head of the Department of Financial and Banking Law.
